Happy Card with Bird Banter and the Tutti Frutti notecards

I have to be honest and confess that I hadn't paid much attention to the Tutti Fruitt notecards and envelopes (which you will find as a free offering in our Sale-A-Bration catalogue this year), and I had totally forgot that I had a set of them sitting here.  But yesterday I cracked them open and made this card.  The Tutti Frutti notecards and envelopes are one of the free items you can choose with a $90 order.

I love that they have super cute matching envelopes with funky designs on the envelope liners.  And the colours are great... but my favourite card is this Lemon Lime Twist striped one... isn't it cool?  There's is something so happy about Lemon Lime Twist!  On this card I decided to pair it with the Bird Banter set, and I used the Macaw stamped on a circle, and this coloured it with some of my Stampin' Blends.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I did also borrow the leaves in the background from the Petals and More framelits..... which are also a free SAB item right now... available with a $180 order.  I've included a product list below should you wish to purchase any of these items for yourself.

Dont forget that Sale-a-Bration comes to an end on the 31st March, so if there are items that you still wish to get, you'll need to hustle!

Video Tutorial: Easy-Peazy Gift Card holders!

We all know that gift cards make great gifts (especially for that hard-to-buy-for person!) but what's even better than a gift card?  A gift class that's beautiful too, and looks like you went to lots of effort!  But I promise with these ones that you don't need to go to a lot of effort at all!  They are super easy to create, and you can choose your colours and papers so they'll look different every time!

For my gift cards I chose to use our gorgeous Springtime Foils DSP, and here I've coloured it by sponging over it with our Sponge Brayers.  Don't forget that the Springtime Foils DSP will only be available until March 31st 2018... after that they are gone forever..... and I promise you that you WANT these in your paper collection!  They are simply beautiful, and can be used for so many different things!

I am loving the Lots to Love Box framelit dies... and have been finding so many different uses for them.   These gift card holders are just one of many ideas!

You'll find the video tutorial below.  Let me know what you think!

ps Dont forget that sign up for my Online Class ends tomorrow, March 18th.  For full details go to the Online Class tab at the top of this page!

Celebrating the last 2 weeks of Sale-A-Bration with the Beautiful Peacock stamp set!

Would you believe there is only 2 weeks of Sale-A-Bration left??  And that means you have 2 weeks to check out all the Sale-A-Bration items and get them before they are gone!  And just to make that party even more amazing, Stampin'Up have just released even more last minute SAB items! To see what else you can get for free click HERE.  These extra goodies will be available from March 15.

Sale-A-Bration runs from now until the end of March 2018.

There are 3 ways to get the most out of Sale-A-Bration (SAB):

1.  You qualify for a free item with every $90 you spend, and you can choose from any of the items in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.  However there are 3 higher value items in this catalogue that are free with a $180 spend… those ones have a red dot on them (instead of a green dot)… so look out for those! To see the full list of SAB items visit the ONLINE STORE

2. When you host a “party” before the end of March you will receive $40 extra in hostess benefits if your party order is over $400.   When I say “party”… this can be a physical gathering of friends (even a couple of people is ok!), or instead you might prefer to pass around a catalogue to friends and gather orders. Or you might ask me to organize an online workshop.  Or maybe you just have a big order for yourself… hostess benefits kick in at $250, and you will receive free products for this (your choice).  But if you go over $400, that’s when the extra $40 comes in.  Contact me to set it up.  (You can even put your hostess dollars towards the demonstrator kit if you wish!)

3.  Have you ever thought of joining Stampin’Up?  There is no better time than SAB!!!  Not only is the kit awesome value at $169 (and you can choose any products in there, up to $235 in value!) but right now you will also get 2 FREE STAMP SETS, any value, your choice!   That’s an awesome deal!
Stop paying full price for your purchases, and join as a demonstrator.  You’ll get all the perks, a discount and a community of other demonstrators that love to create too!  What you do with it is up to you…. You can just enjoy the discount,  or perhaps you would like to earn some extra cash from your hobby.

CONTACT ME for more information, or click the "Join my Team" button at the top of this page.

NEW ONLINE CLASS - get the details here!

Its a rainy day here on the Central Coast, and I have to say..... that's a good thing!  Its been an unusually dry Summer, and now that Autumn is here, its nice to see a little rain starting to liven things up again.

On the weekend I posted my latest Online Class for anyone wanting to be a part of it.  The class is Painting Watercoloured Landscapes with the Waterfront Stamp set.  These are along the lines of the same classes I ran last month in person, but I have prepared tutorials for 3 projects that are exclusive to this class.  They won't be on the public part of my YouTube channel... you'll need the direct link to view them. I only give out the direct link when you've purchased the class. There are 2 ways to get the tutorial:

1.  If you are in Australia you can buy the items you need for the class through my Online store, and use the code PSYTPEZ9 when you make your purchase.   The total value of the items is $60 plus postage.  You'll have the stamp set, the aqua pens and Memento ink that I used in the tutorials.  Please read the full details on the Online Class tab above to see what other ink colours are recommended.

2.  If you would like to purchase the TUTORIALS ONLY you are welcome to use the following PayPal button to buy the tutorials for $15 aud.  Dont worry, no natter where you are, PayPal will do the conversion for you.  (And if you are overseas, your total may be less depending on the local exchange rate - so this might just be a bargain for you!)  PLEASE ONLY USE THIS OPTION IF YOU WANT THE TUTORIAL ONLY.... I will not be sending out materials and you will not receive product with this option.

The class sign up will only be open until the 18th March.... after that I will send out the materials (if required) and the links to the class tutorials.

For full details click the "ONLINE CLASS" tab at the top of this page.

The Black Ice Technique for our technique classes this month!

Hello!  Here we are in the second week of March and the second week of the month is always the week for my technique classes!  I run 2 technique classes each month (one in the evening and one in the daytime) and this is the week.  For this month's technique i have created several great projects using the "Black Ice Technique".  The technique was designed by a talented US demonstrator by the name of Melissa Kerman... and after watching her lovely technique I thought it would make a great class to share with my customers too!

The card you see here is one example of the technique, and we will be making this card in class, plus a couple of others I have designed.  (It's really hard to see the texture on the stamped surface in this photo... I found this technique quite challenging to photograph!)

If you are anywhere on or near the Central Coast, I would love you to join us.... class details are below:

Tuesday 13th March @ 7.30pm
Wednesday 14th March @ 11.15am
Cost is $25, and includes all supplies and refreshments
Please note: at time of writing I only have 2 spots left in the daytime class.

Let me know if you would like to come along! Click HERE to book your spot.

I hope to see you soon!

Getting Ready for Easter 2018 with the "We must Celebrate" stamp set

Easter is coming up at the end of this month, and we have a couple of Easter-friendly sets in our current catalogues.  But the set I used today... "We Must Celebrate".... is actually not really designed as an Easter set... instead its more of a "From all of us" kind of set, to be used for a variety of occasions.

But when I saw that bunny on the end of the line-up of critters, I knew he would be perfect for Easter!  So even though it is one stamp with the animals together I did this to it:

Yep, I performed Stamp Surgery on him!  I can still stamp them altogether if I want to... but for this card I just wanted the bunny, and I think you will agree... he works pretty well on his own!

Firstly I folded a piece of Powder Pink cardstock in half to make my card base.  I used a 1&3/4" circle punch to punch a circle in the corner of the front of the card.

I stamped my bunny in Memento Black ink on Shimmery White cardstock first and then punched him out with the 2" circle punch... but I didnt punch him completely.  I wanted him "peeking" through the window so I punched him a little off the edge:

Then I coloured him with my Stampin' Blends.  Once coloured, I adhered him to the inside of my Powder Pink card base... directly behind the circle that I punched earlier... so you can see him peeking through the circle.  I then created a "frame" for my circle by using my 1&3/4" circle punch to cut a circle from Silver Glimmer paper.  Discard the circle and then go back to the glimmer paper and punch with the larger 2" circle punch around the hole you just made in the Glimmer paper.  You will now have a frame.  I've made a quick little video to show you how to do this:

To finish off the card I used a strip of the Powder Pink design in the Fresh Florals DSP stack we currently have available in our Annual Catalogue. I also used the Decorative Ribbon Border punch to make a white scalloped edge along the strip of DSP.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set.  I've stamped it on Shimmery White cardstock and cut it out with the smallest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelit set. (Still my favourite framelits ever!)

I've included a product list below should you wish to purchase any of these items for yourself.  The stamp set is excellent value as you can see, and will lend itself to lots of different occasions and designs.  Ordering here through my Online Store is awesome because items are sent to you anywhere in Australia for a low postage charge.   Any questions?  Just ask! And don't forget if your order amount reaches $90 you get something for free from our Sale-A-Bration catalogue... and there are some lovely things to choose from!

But don't forget SAB only runs until the 31st March!

See you soon

Colour on Black for High Drama.... using the Hello Color Stamp Set

Today's card follows the video tutorial I posted yesterday... it uses the same technique.  But this time I used a line drawing set to colour in. The fact that it is a detailed stamp, designed to colour in, means that it worked quite well even on the black.  Even though I might not normally use a line-drawn stamp for this technique.... but I think it works dont you?

This card only uses a few supplies.  I've listed them below for you.  But the fun really is in the colouring..... its quite therapeutic!  If you'd like to see the tutorial I made for the technique, then click HERE.

The sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set... one of my faves at the moment.

I hope you enjoy my little card today!
